( HAPPY THANXGIVING TO ALL OUR AMERICAN FRIENDS AND TO THOSE CANADIANS LIVING IN THE U.S. AND BEING FORCED TO EAT ANOTHER TURKEY - lucky buggers!!)
...so here is what i hope is DD#2's favourite chicken ....
VIETNAMESE CHICKEN
3lbs of chicken (skinless boneless thighs are my fav but orig. receipe calls for breasts)
4 tablespoons light soy sauce
4 tablespoons fish sauce
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
5 cloves crused garlic
2 tablespoon canola oil
2 cups water
* combine all ingredients except chicken in a small bowl
* place chicken in the slow cooker
* pour sauce over chicken
* cook on low for at least 5 hours
Serve with steamed broccoli and Jasmine rice.
This serves 5 and there are never any leftovers!
